How many account levels are there?

There are 5 levels of ecoAccount: Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum and VIP.

What is the Classic ecoAccount?

The Classic ecoAccount is the level you get upon your initial registration. It has a lifetime limit of deposits.

What is the Silver ecoAccount?

The Silver ecoAccount gives you the possibility to apply for the ecoCard, and our ecoVirtualcard. This allows you to withdraw funds to your personal bank account, make transfers to friends and family as well as offering you increased limits on your account.

What is the Gold ecoAccount?

The Gold ecoAccount offers you higher limits both within your account and with the ecoCard. You’ll also enjoy free international money transfers and a reduced static currency conversion fee for all e-wallet transactions (1.49 %*).

* The exchange fees of 2.99% will be applied to all ecoCard and ecoVirtualcard transactions.

How do I upgrade my account to Silver Level?

In order to upgrade your account you will need to verify your identity.

Verification requires two documents; one form of photo identification to verify your identity and the other to verify your address.

Which documents are required to verify my identity?

Identity verification document can be one of the following:

  • A valid copy of your passport (the page displaying your photograph, date of birth and full passport number),
  • A copy of your national identity card displaying your photograph, date of birth and full Identity Card number,
  • A copy of your photo card driving license displaying your photograph, date of birth and full driving license number.
Which documents are required to verify my address?

Address verification document can be:

  • A copy of your bank statement,
  • A copy of a utility bill (for example — an electricity bill),
  • A copy of your certificate of residence.

The documents must be of high quality – either pictures or scans. Please note that screenshots are not accepted. Address verification documents must be dated within past 3 months and have your full name and address on it to be accepted.

How long does it take to upgrade an account to Silver Level?

Within two business days. In case additional documents will be required you will receive an additional email. As soon as your account is upgraded you will receive an email notification.

What is the Platinum ecoAccount?

The Platinum ecoAccount offers you even higher limits within your ecoAccount. You’ll also enjoy free international money transfers and a reduced static currency conversion fee for all e-wallet transactions (1.49 %*).

* The exchange fees of 2.99% will be applied to all ecoCard and ecoVirtualcard transactions.

What is the VIP ecoAccount?

The VIP ecoAccount offers you the highest limits within your ecoAccount. You’ll also enjoy free international money transfers and even further reduced static currency conversion fee for all e-wallet transactions (1.25 %*).

How do I upgrade my account to Gold Level?

In order to upgrade your account you will need to have met the following criteria:

  • Successfully verified a credit or debit card
  • Sent us proof of your address and identity
  • Deposited a total of 5,000 Euros or 2,500 Euros by credit card (or currency equivalent)
  • Held a Silver ecoAccount for 30 days
  • Transferred to merchants the cumulative amount of 25,000 Euro or more (or currency equivalent)
How do I upgrade my account to Platinum Level?

In order to upgrade your account you will need to have had the Gold ecoAccount for 30 days, have applied for an ecoCard, received this card and activated it, and transferred to merchants the cumulative amount of 50,000 Euro or more (or currency equivalent).

How do I upgrade my account to VIP Level?

In order to upgrade your account you will need to have had the Platinum ecoAccount for 30 days, and transferred to merchants the cumulative amount of 250,000 Euro or more (or currency equivalent).
